Trunk

Trunk is an artisanal jewellery store. It focuses on promoting local artists and jewellery makers.

Displaying jewellery without overcrowding a display is an art. Allowing the pieces enough breathing space and being able to draw a customer’s attention from outside, when they are not yet able to see the delicate details of the jewellery is also a challenge. This challenge was further exacerbated by the limited space available within the store.

To deal with these challenges, the design focused on creating pristine display cases for the fine jewellery, while treating much of the displays as pieces of jewellery in of themselves. Some of these are used to dress the shop window. This draws the attention of a customer’s gaze and subsequently pulls them into the store.
